One of the organizations I volunteer my time with is the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN). This organization advocates for public policy change that helps defeat cancer. We advocate for issues such as research funding, access to care for all, funding for cancer screening, tobacco control and many others. I lost my mother to cancer when she was only 55 years old. I am a 10 year cancer survivor and an Oncology healthcare professional. I am passionate about this work. I have spent time with both State and Federal Legislators discussing these and other cancer related issues.
We raise funds annually to help support our mission. In September, more than 40,000 Lights of Hope will be on display across the country. Each Light of Hope represents the story of a loved one, a family member or friend, impacted by this terrible disease.
For this year's 10th Lights of Hope event, would you like to honor or remember someone? With your donation of $10 or more a bag will be personalized with the name and message of who you are honoring as part of this year’s ceremony.
Your donation makes a difference the fight against cancer.
Thank you for your support.
