Cancer doesn’t stop, and neither do we. After I survived ovarian cancer in 2010 I vowed I would do all I can to help others beat cancer. Since 2015 I’ve donated my time and money to the American Cancer Society and ACSCAN to advocate for research to find cures, screening to detect cancers early, and programs that support patients and their caregivers.
Lights of Hope is ACSCAN’s major annual fundraiser that fuels our advocacy and draws lawmakers’ attention to the vital role they need to play in the fight against cancer. Each year I donate lights that honor my family and friends.
Like everything in 2020, our Lights of HOPE ceremony will be different than usual. Instead of gathering in Washington, DC, we will host Lights of Hope Across America – Bringing Hope Home in a virtual ceremony so YOU can experience it right along with me! Community-based displays will be livestreamed on Saturday evening, September 12th – I promise to let you know the details as the date draws nearer.
