Dear [Decision Maker],

Your support is critical in the fight against cancer. As a constituent and a volunteer with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), I strongly urge you to prioritize funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute, and Centers for Disease Control Division of Cancer Prevention and Control (DCPC) in the fiscal year 2023 budget.

More funding is desperately needed to meet the overwhelming demand for research grants at the NCI, address cancer health disparities, and mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 on cancer clinical trials and patient screenings and treatment. Biomedical research has received strong bipartisan support for many years, and I appreciate your dedication to this issue. I ask that you support strong funding for the NIH, NCI, and DCPC in the FY23 appropriations bills.

Sincerely,
