Dear [Decision Maker],

I urge to you to continue prioritizing the health and well being of all Delawareans by continuing to fund the state's public health programs for tobacco and cancer control. While in the throes of a global health crisis, we should not be defunding programs that reduce the morbidity and mortality of chronic disease and provide critical health care coverage to Delaware's most vulnerable residents.

Any reduction in funding to these already underfunded public health programs could have drastic impacts on the health of Delawareans. Therefore, we respectfully request that the following programs maintain level funding: the Cancer Council recommendations, tobacco prevention and control programs and community based programming focused on improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities.

Furthermore, access to timely and affordable health care is essential to curbing the spread of COVID-19 and protecting the health of all Americans, especially those with underlying health conditions such as cancer or heart disease, who are at heightened risk.

As a concerned Delawarean, I urge you to continue level funding for public health programs that prevent chronic disease and provide access to care for our most vulnerable citizens.

Sincerely,
