Restore funding for tobacco prevention and cessation

Dear [Decision Maker],

As you hurry to pass key legislation considering the current pandemic, I wanted urge you to continue to think about the 26,500 Kentuckians who will hear the words "you have cancer" this year. As a volunteer for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, I am extremely concerned about the substantial funding cut to Kentucky's Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program. Our state still has the highest rate of smoking-related cancer deaths in the nation.

I know the well-being of all Kentuckians is a priority for you. To protect the health of future generations, will you restore funding for Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Programs in the biennial budget?

I look forward to working with you on this issue.
