Oppose Efforts For Preemption On Tobacco Policies (AM 2886 on LB 632)

Dear [Decision Maker],

As an American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network volunteer, I ask that you oppose any efforts to prevent cities from passing local tobacco control policies that are stronger than state laws.

By including preemption language in AM 2886 of LB 632 you are preventing local governments from regulating e-cigarettes, cigarettes, and all other tobacco products.

The right of local governments to pass public health policies that are stronger than state laws must be preserved to continue future advocacy efforts to reduce suffering and death from cancer.

Thank you for taking time to read my comments on this important issue.

Sincerely,
