Dear [Decision Maker],

Kentucky continues to have one of the highest tobacco use rates in the nation which puts our citizens, including youth, at risk for lifelong health consequences. As a constituent and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, I am writing to ask you to do something about it by increasing funding for the Kentucky Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program to $10 million per year in the upcoming budget.

We can't allow tobacco to put the health and welfare of Kentucky children at risk any longer. This is even more imperative given the recent rise of a new wave of tobacco products in the form of e-cigarettes which studies show are used by 26.1% of Kentucky high school students.

Please invest $10 million in tobacco control programs to protect Kentuckians from the many dangers of tobacco.

I look forward to hearing from you on this important issue.
