Please vote Yes on SB2492/2815 and HB723

Dear [Decision Maker],

As your constituent, I'm asking you to vote yes on Senate Bills 2492/2815 and House Bill 723, prohibiting the use of indoor tanning devices for children 17 years old and younger.

There is no scientific doubt about the health risk of indoor tanning. We know for certain that the ultraviolet (UV) radiation from tanning devices is one of the most avoidable known risk factors for skin cancer.

Research shows those who use tanning devices before age 35 increase their risk of developing melanoma by 59%. This year in Mississippi an estimated 620 people will be diagnosed with melanoma, and 60 people will die.

This legislation would go a long way toward keeping our kids healthy and cancer-free

Please vote YES on SB 2491, SB 2815 and HB 723. It't the smart thing to do to keep Mississippi kids safe and help reduce suffering and death from cancer.

Sincerely,
