Dear [Decision Maker],

Chocolate. Gummy bear. Cinnamon. Mango. Birthday cake. S'mores. Mint. Menthol. Make no mistake, the 15,500 kid-enticing flavors of tobacco are a marketing weapon used by Big Tobacco to lure our children into a lifetime of addiction. It's disgusting.

As your constituent and a volunteer with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, I want to stress the importance of ending the sale of all flavored tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, menthol cigarettes, flavored cigars, hookah, and flavored smokeless tobacco products.

From mango flavored e-cigarettes to menthol cigarettes, Big Tobacco has targeted our kids with their fruity-flavored and minty-flavored poisons. Connecticut must fight back this session by ending the sale of all flavored tobacco products including menthol cigarettes. Given the fact that 64% of kids who use e-cigarettes use menthol or mint, there is a very real concern that these kids will simply switch to menthol cigarettes if menthol e-cigarettes are banned but menthol cigarettes are not. We need a comprehensive bill in Connecticut to stem the epidemic.

I urge you to co-sponsor Senate Bill 76 and to champion the passage of this legislation that ends the sale of ALL flavored tobacco products.

I look forward to hearing your response on this important issue.
