It's Time to Protect Pennsylvania Children from Skin Cancer

Dear [Decision Maker],

Help us stand up for Pennsylvania's kids, who may not recognize that the so-called "healthy" tans they get now could cause cancer in the future.

The evidence is clear:

Using a tanning device even once before the age of 35 increases the risk of melanoma by 59%.
One in thirteen high school girls have used a tanning device, with numbers increasing to one in eight by their senior year.
The risk for melanoma increases with the number of total hours, sessions, and years that indoor tanning devices are used.

I call on our state lawmakers to protect all Pennsylvania kids from skin cancer by prohibiting indoor tanning for kids under 18.

Sincerely,
