SIGN 1076 to address the alarming e-cigarette epidemic
Dear [Decision Maker],
As a Coloradan, I am writing today to urge your signature of House Bill 1076 (Michaelson Jenet/Larson & Priola/Donovan) which will update the Colorado Clean Indoor Air Act to address the alarming rates of teen vaping, reduce secondhand smoke exposure, and protect the right of Coloradans to breathe smoke-free air. House Bill 1076 adds e-cigarettes as a prohibited activity in public indoor places and workplaces. In 2017, 44 percent of Colorado youth reported trying e-cigarettes at least once and 27 percent reported current use. This is the highest rate of teen e-cigarette use in the nation--and a distinction that all Colorado elected officials should agree is unacceptable.
Sincerely,[Your Name] [Your Address] [City, State ZIP][Your Email]
