Support HB 2 and the e-cigarette tax

Dear [Decision Maker],

As a volunteer for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, I ask that you support the Governor's budget and the included e-cigarette tax. We've heard countless stories from school officials, health care professionals and concerned parents about how rampant a problem e-cigarette use is among New Hampshire's youth. Now is our chance to do something about it.

Juul and other e-cigarettes are addicting a new generation of kids and threatening the decades-long progress our nation has made in reducing youth tobacco use. Currently in New Hampshire, approximately 24% of high school students use e-cigarettes, more than the national average. Research shows that youth use of nicotine in any form is unsafe, causes addiction and can harm the developing brain. An increase in the price of these products is one of the best tools we have to ensure that kids can't get their hands on them.

I hope that you'll take a stand against tobacco and stand up for New Hampshire's kids by supporting HB 2.
