Please make tobacco control and access to care top priorities in Pennsylvania.
Dear [Decision Maker],
This week, over 100 of my fellow volunteers with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) will be visiting their lawmakers in Harrisburg to talk about cancer issues. As someone in your district who cares about cancer, I am writing to echo their message. Please help make tobacco control and access to care top priorities in Pennsylvania.
You can do this by: Maintaining funding for tobacco control programs at $16.975 million. These crucial programs prevent kids from starting to use tobacco and help people already addicted to tobacco quit. Improving patient access to care and streamlining prior authorization by supporting HB 1194. Cancer patients can't afford delays in treatment and Pennsylvania's current process can keep patients from receiving timely health care. Protecting all Pennsylvania workers from the dangers of secondhand smoke by supporting SB 610. Everyone deserves the right to breathe smoke-free air. No one should have to choose between their job and their health.
I am hoping I can count on you to take a stand and create a healthier PA.
Sincerely,[Your Name] [Your Address] [City, State ZIP][Your Email]
