Dear [Decision Maker],

As your constituent and a volunteer with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, I am writing to ask you to oppose efforts to weaken the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) oversight authority over all tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes, cigars and hookahs. The FDA just recently moved to regulate these products under authority the Congress granted in the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act of 2009. Protection of the FDA's oversight authority is particularly critical because many of these products are very popular with youth and if we can prevent youth from starting to use tobacco products, they will be less likely to start as adults.

Please oppose any efforts to undercut the FDA's oversight authority over these products.
