We must protect New Yorkers from e-cigarettes!

Dear [Decision Maker],

It's time to again make New York a leader in public health by standing up to big tobacco and putting the health of kids, families, and workers first. Please sign legislation to end the use of electronic cigarettes in indoor public spaces (S.2543/A.516), and legislation to require e-cigarette retailers to register with the state (S.2542/A.4377).

The use of e-cigarettes by youth is on the rise, and has been called a "major public health concern" by the U.S. Surgeon General. Passing this legislation will help discourage young people from ever starting to use e-cigarettes, and developing an addiction to nicotine that may lead to tobacco use.

For the health and safety of all New Yorkers, please sign legislation to close the e-cigarette loophole (S.2543/A.516) and legislation to require e-cigarette retailers to register with the state (S.2542/A.4377).

Sincerely,
