Pass S.2543 and close the e-cigarette loophole!
Dear [Decision Maker],
I'm excited to see progress is finally being made on the legislation to close the e-cigarette loophole. Please make sure the Senate acts on this bill before they adjourn for summer break. Vote YES and tell leadership to pass S.2543 now.
E-cigarette manufacturers (including the nation's largest tobacco companies) are running advertising campaigns in an effort to normalize their use and re-glamorize smoking. Allowing e-cigarette use in public places perpetuates this industry marketing and undermines the effectiveness of our state's smoke-free law. Sadly, over 20 percent of high school kids in the state now report using e-cigarettes has tripled in just the past year.
As your constituent, I urge you to stand up to Big Tobacco and the e-cigarette lobby. For the kids, families, and workers you represent, please VOTE YES on S.2543.
